Probably more like 2.5? There were some cutesy moments in the first half, but I just found myself growing very bored at the end. I'm also probably the only person whose least favorite wallflower book is Devil in Winter. That book didn't click with me at all and I could feel it's influence strongly on this book. Which is fine, considering DIW is so very beloved by many people. Just not for me!

So I did forget a few plot points from the first volume, but luckily this world was very easy to get into again. This artwork is so incredibly gorgeous, and the story is so amazingly rich in characters. I can't wait for more!

The book was probably more like a 4, but the narrator on the audiobook was amazing. He the perfect tone and voices for the story. I am glad that I'd already seen the film, because it made visualizing all the equipment on Mars a lot easier.
