I wasn't really vibing with the writing style of this book - way too dialogue heavy. Plus there's a lot of plot revolving around death & dying, which I personally cannot take right now. If I ever want to retry this book, I think it would be via audiobook since this book is extremely dialogue heavy.

This was a sweet, fun, & quick holiday read! Sophie's extended family was definitely the best part of the book and I think we need much more YA with big, goofy extended families. Although I will call this book out on having a big Italian family that didn't do seven fishes on Christmas Eve... unrealistic!!

While I did fly through this book, I don't think it's going to be too memorable for me. The story really struggled to find any real depth and the love story was rather weak. I'm glad to have read it, but I don't think this book will be leaving too much of a mark on me.
