Enjoyed the unique feel of the writing style, but was hoping it would be funnier.
This audiobook took me a month to listen to - on the bus, washing the dishes, on runs. What a privilege to spend my time with this story.
I wanted to love this, and I did. Some really beautiful writing and atmosphere. Unexpectedly tragic as the book addressed things ending (bereavement, the climate crisis, the current era of space travel) but still had some hope and gentleness. I liked the structure of following the characters over one day.
I did find the audiobook a bit hard to follow at times (I couldn't always pick up which characters were having which thoughts etc) and the ending dragged a bit for me.
