One of the best Pratchett books out there, in my opinion. Not the best but definitely somewhere near the top!

I expected a book about ending policing. This is a book about why police is bad today, not about how to make things better.

This would probably have rocked my world 10 years ago, but now, it's nothing we don't already know quite well

Modern intro was great. After that, the manuscript was really hard to read and to get into, possibly because I'm not super used to 18th century writing in English.

 Je pense qu'il était important pour moi de comprendre comment le vivent les parents. Je pense que ça va mieux, maintenant.
J'ai passé un très mauvais moment, je recommande. (Plus sérieusement, ça m'a permis de faire preuve d'un peu d'empathie, et je vais l'offrir à ma mère : pour une personne trans, le mégenrage et le deadnaming tout au long du bouquin, c'est pas facile à supporter, mais pour les parents ça sera peut-être plus clair, parce que pour une fois on parle d'un bouquin qui part du principe qu'on n'y connaît rien et qu'on n'a pas forcément envie d'apprendre.)

Probably good, I enjoyed the beginning, but it was already slow 15 pages in and it scared me.

En soi c'était sympa, mais il m'a fallu très longtemps pour comprendre que le plot twist ne viendrait pas.

Pas trop compris l'objectif ou l'intérêt du livre. Dommage
