Modern intro was great. After that, the manuscript was really hard to read and to get into, possibly because I'm not super used to 18th century writing in English.

Probably good, I enjoyed the beginning, but it was already slow 15 pages in and it scared me.

I loved it, honestly. Good writing, good story. I'm not in the right headspace for this but I hope I will be because I know I'll love this book.

L'écriture m'énerve (a-t-on vraiment besoin de deux putain par page ?), la traduction m'énerve (le passé composé, vraiment ???), le scénario a du mal à se poser.

I can't read about a trans woman being in love and having sex. Not while She's still in my mind. But I want to come back to this book, because it had a really good beginning.
