i read the last 150 pages literally without stopping — to me, that alone may merit five stars. & i will remember wendy’s thoughts and experiences so quite some time, too.

this book is so good and high-key changed my life when i was like 18!

i just really really love didion nonfiction!!! fave essays: “why i write” & “on being unchosen by the college of one’s choice.” the one about nancy reagan was fascinating. one of the longest was the one about martha stewart which i didn’t like much (but is written incredibly) & in particular thought was a weird one to end on!!!
