I absolutely loved this. It did break my heart a bit at one point but it mostly put it back together. This is one of my favourite romantasy books in a while. The world is really well constructed and easy to understand. This is a really fun and engrossing read that I couldn’t put down. I kept reading lines out, or explaining the plot to my friends and they became equally as obsessed. The characters are easy to love, Renna and Rexxan are amazing as well as the side characters.
My only critiques are that the names are slightly too similar so I did mix up whose POV was whose for the first few chapters. It is NA, so it does feel like a slightly more adult YA fantasy, which I love but others might not

It sucked. They were all trying to help but instead actively made things worse

Loved it, 4.5 stars. It’s so fun and easy to read. Evie is great, she is clumsy and definitely has ADHD. The villain is so good too and I love that we got dual POV. It is exactly what I wanted it to be. It’s a fun almost fairytale world with a not so villainous villain and not so heroic heroes. There is fantasy creatures, magical grumpy HR (I love Becky), a pink healer, a flirty dragon ‘trainer’ and some great plot twists. If you are unsure if you will like it watch some of the authors TikTok series and then you will know.
REQUEST: If you are only ever a critical ‘good’ book reader please don’t read this and start bashing it. Its not for you, its a fun and slightly crazy book and if you don’t enjoy books like it or Hannahs content on TikTok you won’t like this. It’s not some great work of literature or fantasy with the most complicated world building, but that’s ok. This is because I almost didn’t read this after seeing those reviews saying it was awfully written and a terrible story ITS NOT.

I liked it but it was kind of predictable and Violet bugged me. She was meant to be sooo smart but she is almost purposefully stupid when it comes to Xaden and Dain among other things.
