A hard hitting, great graphic novel that truly depicts racism, toughness, sexism and other hard things that BIPOCs face. This is a memoir that is very important and one that I truly enjoyed reading. I found myself nodding in agreement especially when she spoke about all the feelings around Trump. Even though I am a white woman , I still relate since o am homosexual and my wife is Mexican. I think Mira did a great job reflecting on how tough the conversations were with her son and also dealing with her in laws supporting a man who doesn’t support her.
I think this is a very important read for all!

Beautifully written. Loved the storyline of the gardening class along with all the characters and their growth. As always, Abbi Waxman doesn’t disappoint
