How do I summarize this? A catalyst, epical and long. Perfect if you love medieval worlds, with a bit of magic. You learn a lot about politics, whether you want it or not. The last 200 pages in both this book and Assassin's Apprentice were impossible to put down. Had to read the whole night. Better than the first book.

What made this book such a masterpiece was the writing, and the amount of work put into this. Everything fits so perfectly together and no other than a genius could have written this.
My favorite parts of this book was the mountain folk (reminded me very much of home), the magical elements and also Fitz himself. He is a complicated character, but Hobb makes you feel like you are him after reading a while. Also going to remember Eda.
I was contemplating between 4.75 and 5 stars. But after thinking about it a while, I am pleased to say that I loved it. It will not be one of my favorite books, but I think this story will follow me for a long time ahead.

Det bästa med boken var skrivsättet, och skämten. Jätterolig och genialisk. Älskade att den inte hade någon handling. Slutat var helt okej, besviken över att den tog slut. Hade lite svårt att skilja på Jocke och Davve. Vill leva mer i huvudkaraktärens värld, insåg inte att han inte hade ett namn förrän nu. Det var roligt att läsa en annorlunda bok.
