I enjoyed seeing Gilead through the different time periods through the eyes of different characters and through the lense of modern society and the parallels Atwood made. All in all, a great sequel to The Handmaids Tale

Slow beginning and I had hoped that the culmination would be more dramatic but I did like the characters and the narrative voice.

I didnt find the narrator or the story compelling at first but it grew on me. The writing is well done and visceral

It was truly an enjoyable read. The writing flows from flashbacks to the current day, she managed to look on the light side of tragedy and the pitfalls of success.

I didnt like it. wouldnt read it again. read only because it was required reading for school
