A solid 3.5 if I’m honest
Her writing style was very clear and flowed well and read like a transcript of one of her stand up specials.
The content was engaging and her observations of relationships between men and women, and how each group act independently of the other, were spot on, hilarious, if sometimes sensitive.
She combined her thoughts and observations well within the context of her experiences and stories of her upbringing to show exactly how and why she followed the other she did to end up as successful as she has become.

Laurie paints a fantastic picture of life in London, in between pub culture and the gentrified part of town, between student living and adulthood. Her piece Toast really stood out to me as really powerful!
Very powerful poetry, the style and some of the issues covered are reminiscent of Rupi Kaur, as well as the style of drawings.
It was an emotional collection, with a strong sense of emotional growth. Some pieces stuck out to me as more powerful, such as Your Words and Work In Progress.
It was very naive, filled with cliche character tropes and then it took a sudden twist into sci-fi dystopia. It read like a short story in 8th grade English.
I love that the poems are homages to individuals who have been significant to Ducker.
