Nash gave me the creeps instantly, a reminder of my BA Creative Writing days at Uni and a reminder of why I no longer partake in those circles. He was instantly irritating and I got mad at Eddie for not realising that he had ulterior motives earlier. She was very much the densest and most naive character in the entire book and while I was angry on her behalf, I was angry at her actions and obliviousness more often.

Tropes:
Friends to Lovers
Unrequited pining
Secret relationship

A mid book on the whole but the plot twists were twisting, the characters were fun, there were too many tangents and the ending was overall satisfying. Lots of foreshadowing but all the loose ends were tied off by the end.

Really well researched and written, the audiobook was narrated amazingly, I loved the TLDR sections at the end of every chapter for a nice and neat summary and the additional interview at the end was a cherry on top of an already fab book!
dark emotional inspiring reflective medium-paced

The first half with the therapist flew by and I really enjoyed the back and forth. Read that in about two days. The second half of mini essays took me a week because it was too philosophical and dense. If the whole book had more of these mini essays interspersed, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
