I give this a 3.5/5 stars. The story and plot were great and the author did a wonderful job of creating this new world. I loved the idea of weredragons (it's a nice twist from werewolves). The only thing that bothered me was the constant repetition. It was like the author ran out of stuff to write and so he filled those gaps with the same thing over and over again: the fall of Requiem, the marble columns, the birch trees, the prayer, the death of many weredragons. They're all an important part of the story, but literally on every page one of the characters would be comparing life now to what life was like before. It got annoying after a while, but overall the book ended well and makes me really curious to know what will happen in next.
I read the 3rd edition of this book and found it to be really clear and concise. Apparently it's a big improvement from the 2nd edition. The author did assume that the reader had prior knowledge of Greek myths and stories, but overall it was a good read.
