Nice backstory of one of the scientists who worked on the protomolecule. Actually one of the novellas I enjoyed most so far, in spite of the topic. It has a very nice style of storytelling which sets it apart from everything else in the series, I think.
Very nice backstory of one of the Rocinante's core characters, but I had a bit of a hard time getting into it (maybe because my mind was already set for book 4?). The end was pretty cool though.
Nice, very brief novella about the inventor of the Epstein Drive, which is what transports the characters of The Expanse through space.
Nice for some background info on some characters, but not as captivating as book one...
Finally, the end of the journey. This is where it all culminates, all small plot strings join into the grand finale. This is probably the best book of the series... or a close second!
Returning to previously introduced characters, this stories revolves around the dream world of Barbie, into which all people who live in her house are thrown. Maybe not one of the strongest, but still a really good volume (with really great LGBTQ presentation for its time).
I had much higher expectations. I wanted to give this as a gift to an 8-year old, but since the book doesn't really have much of a plot, I doubt she'll know what to do with it. Probably not gonna give it to her.
