That's definitely the kind of story I needed : full of monsters, love and an impossible quest to save a kingdom... what else could I possibly need? The story is well written (even if at some points I found it not so smooth but overall it was really coherent), the subject really original and... well... as usual, the characters are very important and I loved how they were described... especially their emotions and psychological struggles! I'm definitely gonna read book 2 now! 

I loved each and every one of the books V.E. Schwab wrote... and this one is definitely no exception! It's even probably my favorite right now! It was such a pleasure to follow once again Kell, Rhy, Alucard and Lila... and meet new people from this amazing world(s)! And now I'm so excited to read the sequel that I'm probably going to jump on it as soon as it will be released! 

I really liked to continue this amazing quest with Zafira and the zumra. I loved how the story turned page after page... but I have to give this one only 4 stars as some chapters were a little too slow-paced for me... but it doesn't spoil the quality of the writing and the originality of the story! Just less my kind of writing...

This book as all the ingredients for an amazing quest : magic, enemies... not so much enemies at the end, monsters, broken hearts, hope and incredible characters. Even some things are quite obvious, the pace, the writing and the emotions of the characters make this story a must-read! I'm glad I finally started this duology and can't wait to start the second book!

I was so happy to jump back in Elfhame... and this short story didn't disappoint! I will never truly understand how Holly Black makes me love Cardan so much... even when he's a monster! I feel so much love for this abused yet arrogant princeling... and so cute kingling! 

I really liked to fall back in this original story. I love this world and all the secrets it hides. The characters are so mysterious and the plot exciting! I can't wait for the last book to be published! I chose to give this book 4 stars because I was a little bit annoyed by the Venn theory that seems a bit... sloppy to me.

I loved every page from this serie... from the first to the last one (even if, at some points, I may have lost a little of my sanity because of the tension... the emotions!). This story is all I appreciate : fast-paced, great characters, solidarity, a lot of love and... just the end I needed! 

Usually I'm getting a little bored in the middle of à trilogy but wow.... I can't stop thinking... hoping for what could happen next. The story is so well-written and quite fast-paced that I can't put the book down (or just get grumpy when I have to!). I'm so glad book 3 is already published so I can jump into it right now!

What a creative world! And such a wonderful story with so many secrets and as many true deep feelings. I loved the writing as much as the way Kiva went through this first book... so obviously I'm gladly jumping into book 2 right now! 

I wasn't expecting to enjoy THIS MUCH to go back to this universe but YES it was a total blast! I loved to follow the characters I already appreciated so much but how I loved to find out more about Célie! I can't wait for next March to find out what happens next!!!
