I received a copy of this book from the publisher (via Netgalley) in exchange for an honest review.

What a great story : a thousands year old mage, a young witch and ancient cursed magic! All I need to spend a nice time reading it! The characters are so well (and coherently) described that I have a pretty good idea of who they are and I enjoyed the originality of their stories. I would gladly jump in book 2 if it's ever written ;-)

A fairytale retelling... and some spice??? Well... I had to ask for this book on Netgalley and damn I was happy I got it!!! I loved it so much!!! The characters are so stubborn (just how I love them) and the mix of many different fairytales makes the story so exciting! I definitely recommend this book if you like fantasy, fairytales, spicy romance and enemies to lovers trope!

Oh!!!! How I love this story! I felt empty after finishing book 1 knowing I would have to wait so long before reading number 2... but now I'm just a huge void as I don't even know when the sequel will be published! Everything is perfect for me in this book : the world building, the characters, the quest, the writing and so much mysteries to discover! I can't wait to read book 3 (and crossing my fingers I won't have to wait too long ;-)

What a pleasure to read more about Elizabeth, Nathaniel and especially Silas! I love this world and even more its main characters!!! It's such a sweet story (as usual with Margaret Rogerson) and it totally reached my expectations! If you liked Sorcery of Thorns, you'll love this one! By the way... Am I the only one who loves Silas soooooo much??

I really loved this story. I was skeptical at first as the writing is so close to traditional tale writing (and I thought that I wouldn't like it for a whole book) but I was wrong! Page after page I fell into the story and couldn't stop reading. I loved the way old tales were turned into a wonderful journey and how so many mystical creatures felt so real! At some point, I was so deep into my reading that I felt like I was sitting by this fire listening to Dunya and Vasya... I can’t wait to discover her 2 other books inspired by Russian folklore!!

Thank you to Netgalley and She Writes Press for the copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I've struggled the first part of the book because of the minute-by-minute writing (I discovered I don't like it ;-) but as soon as I've started the 2nd part of the book, it all made sense. I loved how cute the 2 main characters are and I enjoyed discovering their journey through their pains and struggles.

This book is more about their personal journey than specifically their love story but it makes it... more real.

What an incredible adventure! I loved the writing as much as the world in which the story takes place or the evolution of the main characters! Between mysteries and a prophetic quest, Fallon's path is as full of pitfalls as it is full of coincidences... that are not really coincidences. It was a real pleasure for me to devour this fantastic story featuring faes, surprising animals and a touch of magic. I gladly recommend it and thank the author and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to discover this little gem!

I've jumped in this world as if I, too, where made for this! I loved the monsters, the mysteries and the back story of this outcast family and I really enjoyed discovering all the codes of this organization... the story is fast-paced and I've read it with impatience but... I don't understand the end... if it's not a serie, there's no way you can let the reader with so many open questions (and theories)!!!!
I give it 4 stars because there are some childish comments here and there I really felt had no place in the story... but overall that was a good read!!

This book definitely filled my heart with a lot of love! I kept smiling page after page, learning more about the main characters and enjoying how their relationship evolved so beautifully. The story is so cute and so full of messages about tolerance and how it's important to admit your mistakes. I just want to give it a big 5 stars as I can't give it 10 ;-)

The first part of this book was exactly why it's categorized as a dark romance : Julian is just awful and so despicable! I felt like there was no way I could like him... but I was wrong! Once his personal story was told and he begun to show some cute gestures towards Yasmin, my sick heart started to think he was maybe an interesting man... then I was turned on by the dark character he is and the depth of his need of power... I loved the story and especially the little hints to Aladdin, the fairytale it was inspired by which is my all time favorite fairytale. I'm definitely gonna read the other books of this serie (they can be read on any order as they are not related) because I love this concept and this author's writing!
