This is a tough four. I spent a lot more of it listening in the car with my children talking over it. I know I would have enjoyed it more if I just read it lol
These are my friends. And Rick, how dare you kill off some of my friends!!

Silvia is an automatic read for me. I loved it!! How she weaves so much into a short story I’ll never know
dark
emotional
hopeful
As someone who grew up loving the movie (and reading this for the first time) I loved some of the takeaway quotes. Like
“It’s easy to forget what you do in the dark, if you need to.”
And of course
And fall in love whenever you can.
But I had a hard time with the plot lines sometimes. And the relationships between the sisters.
slow-paced
I’m so glad I never have to read this book again. I didn’t care about any of the characters and I just wanted it to be over.
Beautiful prose but I personally kept losing the plot
emotional
I adored this. Listening to it was so enjoyable with the different actors. I need 100 more just like it. Just wonderful.
(I watched the Netflix movie first and loved that. I may love the movie more only because I’m in love with Michael Huisman who plays Dawsey. If you haven’t watched the movie and enjoy this book go watch it right now!!)

I loved this!!!! I just read sense and sensibility for the first time (after growing up watching the movie with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet)
I did not enjoy Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility (I grew up loving. The movie). But I loved this book. I think Nikki did an incredible job with this interpretation and I loved getting a glimpse into Bear’s decision making!!
I think every one who didn’t like this book just has never read Sense and Sensibility.
I need to read Pride and Protest ASAP
