The prose is absolutely beautiful. When reading this book the pace of the language really helps the story along. It’s such an effortless read. Each part of this book is about a different part of the war and the emotions I got out of this book, they were heartfelt and broken. It’s so good. I really enjoyed the love story with Tav and the language of this novel. I feel torn. Usually in books the writing disappoints me, the writing in this book was amazing. But I felt like the plot of the book itself was rather slow and got stuck a few times. I’m glad I read this book, I loved about the first 75% of the book. Compared to many of the YA/fantasy novels I have read this is pretty good.

This book was so good! I fell in love with all the characters. I didn’t know what to expect with this read but it is so great. I’d say get past chapter 4. I tried reading it before and I gave up but this time around I read it in 4 days.

This book is so good. I was completely absorbed in the story it took me 3 days to read. I loved how smart Harper was and she felt real. I will read the next book!

👎It has moments in the plot that are good but 60% of the book is slow and boring. I kept reading it waiting for it to get better.

This was my second attempt of reading this book and I am so glad I did. This book will stay on my bookshelf.
