you ever catch me with a riley sager book again… slap it out of my hands this is terrible
the nepotism book to end all nepotism books. i think her writing style is interesting but this doesn’t seem like a novel worth publishing. very introspective and reflective around the authors specific plights. i did appreciate the inner dialogues and the discussion of disability but all in all a lack luster read
slay spare gave me everything i wanted with all the details. i loved it from the moment megan entered. my only qualm is how he positioned himself to sound so “normal” that was a little ridiculous
really interesting case study but i feel like it could have been longer and delved into the world building more. i liked the vampire lady the best
medium-paced
i’m not going to lie i kind of hated this book. the first half was an interesting premise and could be impactful but as it continued the characters became quite contrived, and the stories, repetitive. i wish there was an ounce of depth or nuance to the great struggle facing these individuals but no. the book drones forward with song lyrics and an almost christian propaganda movie tone.
What would happen if your child was a literal sociopath I cannot even begin to fathom the depths of motherhood that this book probes.
