this could have been a great book IF THE AUTHOR TRUSTED THE READER AT LEAST ONE PERCENT. she drills her themes so hard and eventually just Hits you over the head with her manifesto and like don’t get me wrong the writing was nice but bc she’s trying to push this (also sweet) message so hard the whole twist of the book is spoiled and you feel annoyed instead of scared. would Not recommend

beautiful allegory for the westernization of beauty and loss of culture in the hopes of assimilation. just crude and tense enough to keep your attention. just deep enough to make you feel smart. just fantastical enough to make you feel like a child
adventurous
sweet and cute and if walle was made for twee adults
Stephen king wanna be but then I read that it was written by his literal son, so I guess that’s why I got those vibes. This is just not I guess my type of literature unless it’s Stephen King.
what a beautiful, gay vampire love story I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was creepy. It was fun. It was old Timey. It had a mystery had romance. Oh, it was great.
what a nasty book I would never read that again song it’s really similar to the book titled none of this is serious, where I feel like the author is trying to make a huge mega point with a very modern setting and then a expository like almost inflammatory plot, but I just didn’t feel like I love the characters enough to even care about them um, plus everything just seems like it was for shock value after a certain point
this was just a really beautiful read was a lovely story and lovely characters and a very symbolic Hebrew message. I feel like this is what Tuesdays with Morrie could be I really liked it.
yes, I read this right after page boy because it was mentioned in page boy this is like the perfect lesbian breakup novel. I don’t know what it is about is that like just put me back in my lesbian break up era it was so got wrenching and so vulnerable and so real but also so short, I was astounded.
