Hana:
Finished Hana's short story. (4/5 stars)
I don't remember if I liked Hana in Delirium, but I'm pretty sure I didn't like her in Requiem. Especially when it came out that *spoiiilerrr!!*
... she was the one telling on Alex and Lena and 37 Brooks.
In this short story we see how she felt after he fight with Lena in Delirium, how she escaped the raid, and what she thought about Alex and Lena when she first found out about them. She was happy for her best friend but all I could read was the jealousy in her thoughts. While Lena was happy that she and Hana are back to be best friends, Hana was jealous and told on them.
A true friend doesn't do that, and I probably must say I don't like her, not even a bit.
Why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I got some Lena and Alex at the end & I thought it was interesting to read Hana's relationship to Steve. (Now I understand why she was that jealous, I mean ALEX LOVED LENA while Steve only wanted the S thing from Hana ... Still, friends don't crush each other's dreams and she's responsible for the fact that Alex got thrown into the Crypts and Lena lost him .... I'm not gonna forgive her)
Finished Annabel's story (5/5 stars)
One word. Beautiful.
I hadn't much an opinion on Lena's mom while reading the books. She was a mystery during Delirium but I knew I'd like her character. I was okay with the fact that she hasn't told Lena who she is in Pandemonium, but I wasn't sure whether to love her or not in Requiem. The relationship between Lena and her mother Annabel didn't seem deep enough to me. Of course, they just found each other and yes, it was weird for both of hem to start from the beginning, but still ...
This story made everything great. I loved that it was written like Pandemonium (Now/Then), and I loved her character just right away. She's amazig, loving, beautiful. I loved how she described her past, her love to her husband and her two girls, especially to Lena.
The story of how she met Conrad and how they got paired was amazing and I must say I wouldn't mind a whole book based on Annabel's life instead of a short story. LOVED IT!
Finished Raven's story (5/5 stars):
I don't know how to describe it and this review will be full of spoilers.
I always liked Raven's character but never was sure how much I should like her. I love mysterious characters with a dark, hidden background, with a heavy history. And I must say, it was predictable that Raven's family was the way they were. It's more the way how she describes her first kill, her first kiss, her first test, her first everything, while we also find out what she's up to (saving Lena while she's saving Julian).
Of all four delirium stories (I'm including Alex' too) I loved this one most!!!

Of all four delirium stories (I'm including Alex' too) I loved this one most!!!
I don't wanna say much about it but I definitely enjoyed this one a bit more than the first book.
Maybe it was because I loved Adam's pain and how he couldn't deal with it or maybe it was more interesting because I had no idea where this was going ...
And maybe the end was predictable to most of you - it was also a bit for me - but I had my doubts through the whole book. Sometimes I was sure they'll come back together and sometimes I was sure that this was Gayle's answer to a good-bye between both of them.
So .. You might be able to imagine on what emotional trip this book has brought me.
I loved it. I couldn't put it down.
And speaking of the If I Stay movie coming soon out .... I HOPE THIS ONE'S GONNA BE TURNED INTO A MOVIE, TOO!!!

One word: Fuck.
Two words: Mind fucked.
Three words: Mind is fucked.
Four words: MY Mind is fucked.
That's how I feel. My mind is completely blown away. This is .. Wow ..!
The book started .. Well ... Okay. It seemed like a well-told story and I loved the writing style because it was different, not the usual. I enjoyed the story and felt curious about the accident, but I wasn't really hooked from the beginning. I needed my time, even though I read this book really fast. I knew there was a plot twist. And I've been guessing it the whole time.
Did I guess correctly? Of course not.
The ending was mindfucking and I must say that no matter how weird and confusing it started, no matter how sceptical I felt towards this book, it truly deserves every praise which it has gotten. It definitely made me think and more important than that, it will stuck in my mind. I won't forget it, I'm aware of that.
An amazing stand-alone novel.
I'm niw over-thinking the whole novel. Is it 4 or 5 stars worth and I can't tell. Because I loved the ending as much as I hated it because .. Hello?! PLOT TWIST!! And I wanted Cady to have a Happy Ending .. With Gat and her illness. However, somehow she has gotten her happy ending, she found peace - after everything she remembered and after all that pain. And I have to respect that girl!!
I also loved how E. Lockkhart used the term "Liars", how she made us think what we thought about them until we found out the truth. I must say that I haven't even realized what was going on after reading chapter 80 - the first chapter of the last part called "truth" - it was completely unbelievable to me and I haven't been able to realize it until Cady remembered - and that's how she explained - everything.
Well done, E. Lockhart!
You got me!
It definitely somehow became my favourite stand-alone novel (John Green's books are not included in that).
The story. The topics - rich family, when are we happy? What do we need in life? Love, Money, Family, an own island? - the characters, especially the protagonist - Cadence.
Everything. Just perfect. No matter how sceptical I was when I started reading it. It grew to me. I love it.
The whole novel is - to quote John Green, who's praise made me finally buy that book (Thanks, John!!!!!) - truly "utterly unforgetable".

The last paragraph. The last sentence.
It gave so much power to the story line and the book. I can't wait to get out of bed and grab Pandemonium which stares at me while staying on my bookshelf.
So, Delirium, started right away with the evaluations and with that boy who winks at her after she totally failed.
Of course we knew that that boy will become THE boy and so, I couldn't wait for their next meeting which was sooner than I first believes. The way she described him and the way he whispered "Gray" in her ear made it clear for me thar I want this guy to be all time present in the book!
And I could start analyze all the scenes and give some spoilers away but I don't.
Delirium is beautiful, well-written, exciting and truly made me think. A world without love is definetely a world where I would rather kill myself. Especially, the scene where Lena remembers how kind her mother was to her and how people were disgusted by that behavior. Yep. That said everything to me.
Love is not only the passion between to young people - Lena and Alex, for example.
It's also love between friends - as Lena's friendship to Hana develops into something deeper
Love, however, is also the feeling, the kindness, the joy a mother - or any family member - gives to you.
You also can not only love people, but the nature and animals and smell and different kind of feelings. Love is so much more.
And Lena gets it.
I love how Lena's fear from the amor deliria nervosa turned into real passion for living in a world full of love. It's a topic which IS really important and I like the way Lauren Oliver described everything and how she puts the feeling of Love in different, beautiful words.
