WELL DON‘T BELIEVE I AM ABLE TO FORM ANY WORDS! I write this review a week after I finished this book, and I still. Can‘t. Think. Straight!! To know I have to wait yet another year to know how the story will continue is torture. Thank you, Holly Black for destroying my mind and heart.

I can‘t write a review without starting from the start. So here I am. Trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible. While I thought the ending of The Cruel Prince was cruel enough, Black proved that she takes the titles of her books very, very, VERY seriously, and we got an ending more wicked than anything I could imagine.

We are back in Elfhame, Jude‘s plan has worked and now it‘s about holding what she gained; not to lose the power she fought so hard to get. But things don‘t turn out that way when you live among faeries, especially not when the High King of Elfhame seems to hate you. (EVEN IF WE ALL DON‘T THINK THAT THAT !! IS THE PROBLEM WITH THESE TWO

As much as i love Jem, I can't ship Jessa! Not a bit!

My heart's bleeding for Wessa!

I shouldn't give this book 5 stars. It's not a nice book! Clare did hurt my feelings again and again and I can't help myself! I just fell in love with the very first book as I also did with the second one and now with this! I kinda feel empty, the end was so .... I just can't understand Tessa in some way and somehow I know what she means but still... My heart hurts, it feels empty and full of feelings at once. I'm so condused and just can't wait to go on with City Of Fallen Angels and City Of Lost Souls before City Of Heavently Fire comes out - and because of alle the snippets I feel even more empty and messy .... Will Herondale, trutly, is the biggest reason why! I never have met such an incredible character in any book yet! He just made me keep reading page for page! I couldn'z help myself - I HAD TO fall in love with him!
But also, alle the other characters, tessa, jem, charlotte, henry, cecily, gabriel and gideon and how could i forget about sophie, are so full of love and delight, I actuall never love all the characters in a book, but in The Infernal devices I almost had to (except mortmain, nate and jessamine, the dark sisters) and let's not forget about MAGNUS!!!!
And also not about the star scar on Will's shoulder which also Jace and all the herondales after Will will have! Also, church! And all these parallels to the mortal instruments series! Cassandra Clare created a beautiful world, beautiful amazing characters, and everytime again she's the reason why my Heart aches so much!!
Also, the love story betwenn Will and Tessa and Jem truly is the most beautiful "triangle" love story ever! Just give it a try!
And as much as I ship Wessa, and as much as i cried over Will and his last day, I must say that I'm happy about the time Tessa and Will had and I'm happy yet confused about Jem and Tessa! I just wish sooo that Will could live with her forever....
Oh gosh, I should go to sleep, before my heart explodes because of feelings I can't describe - ugh
