I just reread this book on Wattpad for the 6th time, and I wasn’t disappointed.
This book gets me in my feels, and Macy and Sam are my babies.

I loved this so much. Second Chance Summer is still my favorite Morgan Matson book (I have 2 left to read though so we'll see) but this is very close in ranking to that one! I LOVED Frank and Emily.
Emily's character development was so amazing! I loved that in the beginning Emily was shy, insecure, and acted as though she needed Sloane for everything that she did. But you could really see your character development as Emily went through the list of things Sloane asked her do, and as she made me friends. She took more risks became more confident, and depended on herself only.
I also really loved Frank and his character. He was really sweet, while also being the non typical "good boy". His whole character just went to show that Morgan Matson can make a stereotyped character, but make them has so much more depth and personality to them!
I also loved the two side characters Collin and Dawn! Very amazing and loyal friends and great character friendships and dynamics between the 4.
Overall great story and the only thing I didn't like about this book was Sloane. Trash friend wouldn't recommend.

This was so sweet and I loved Paul so much. Maybe I should read more historical romances
All I've heard about from his book is rave reviews. I was skeptical about going into this book. Usually YA contemporary that has all the hype isn't my thing. But this, god this was amazing! Such a great book.
This book is kinda complicated to explain. Even though it's YA contemporary their is a lot going on. We follow a girl named Pepper, who's the daughter of a woman that runs one of the biggest fast food chains in America.
We then follow Jack, the son of a family that has had deli in the legacy for 3 generations. Pepper and Jack don't like each other. In fact they pretty much hate each other. But their actually talking to each other on an anonymous app, and they both run their parents Twitter accounts.
And when Pepper's food chain steals Jack's deli grilled cheese recipe, a full blown Twitter war breaks out.
This book was just, *chefs kiss* I don't know how else to describe it. It was witty, it was funny, it was fun, entertaining, and it was relevant. Very relevant in fact. I just understand so many pop culture and internet references in here, and I think that's why I had so much fun reading it.
Also these characters! I loved Jack so much. He was such a softie, but so arrogant and cocky I just loved him. And I loved Pepper too. She's just so cute, and ugh! I love this book.
What I'm trying to say is, read it!

God I love this book. REVIEW TO COME
This was just very cute. I loved the male protagonist, and the female protagonist (Haley) was kinda stupid I'll give you that. Not in a book smart way because she was very book smart, but she wasn't very observant. Usually I don't like books where the only way the plot can go further is if one of the main characters is stupid. In this case I didn't mind at all. I just found this really cute and really sweet. Just a fun, light hearted contemporary! And our male protagonist Martin is BISEXUAL!
*4.5
I really really liked this book. So much in fact that it was almost a 5 star. But unfortunately it wasn't the whole UMPH if you know what I mean?
Anyways, lets talk about what this book is about. Civil war is brewing in space. Earth, and a colony called Genesis are at war with each other, and every other planet is taking sides. Our main character Noemi has lived on Genesis her whole life, and is on a suicide mission to save her planet with many other star fighters. Our other main character is a cyborg? I don't know if you'd call him a robot or a cyborg but ehh does it really matter? Anyways, his name is Abel. He's been stuck on an enemy ship (Earth ship) for 30 years, and is now looking for someone to get him out. Noemi and her friend just so happen to come across the ship, but much to Abel's surprise in his programming, he has to obey the highest human in command on he ship. And that's Noemi. Abel is forced into telling Noemi about plans his old master told him, in order to destroy Earth, and they have to go on a high stakes, space galactic adventure!
What really did this book for me was the fast paced adventure, and Abel! The book itself was never boring. Never. I found myself enthralled in what was happening every second. I loved it! It was so entertaining and it gave me so many Star Wars vibes! The main reason I enjoy the genre of Sci-Fi (or my enjoyment at least started) was because of Star Wars. And I get this certain feeling when I watch Star Wars. And when I get that feeling Reading Sci-Fi, I just love it so much more. This also gave me MAJOR Ben Solo and Rey vibes. Probably because we're in space, and star crossed lovers thing? Either way I just loved it. I just love the feeling I got, and I'm ranting sorry

I've decided I'm not gonna write a whole review for this because it's so popular, but I will say that I absolutely LOVED this book to pieces! It was just so good, and I loved the characters, and it was so queer and amazing and you should definitely pick it up
Retelling(s) - Mulan
OWN VOICES
Wow, what a ride! This book was phenomenal in so many different ways! I loved everything about this book, and I'm even going to be bold enough to say that this might be on my favorites of 2020! [b:Spin the Dawn|42815556|Spin the Dawn (The Blood of Stars, #1)|Elizabeth Lim|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1542674036l/42815556._SY75_.jpg|58477266] was pitched to me (and everyone else), as "Fashion Runway meets Mulan". If that doesn't sound amazing to you in the first place, my question is why?
The first part of the book held up to a Mulan retelling. The second part of this book took an unexpected and great turn. The second part of this book we follow Edan and Maia going on an adventure (I'll talk more about them later).
I mainly picked this book up though for the Mulan retelling aspect. Mulan is in my top 5 Disney Princess, (probably number three, right after the tie between Belle and Rapunzel). I've never actually read a Mulan retelling and my curiosity was piqued. Here's to say, I wasn't disappointed.
We follow a a first person point of view of our main character Maia. Maia's family has fallen on hard times. Her mother died when she was just a girl, and her three brothers are sent off to war. Her father was once one of the best tailors in the land, but now he's a shell of himself. Maia was the only person in her family with the skills for a thread, and needle. But she's a woman, and in her society woman cannot become tailors. As a young girl, her dream was to become the master tailor, the emperors tailor, and all her dreams a crushed until hope arrives at her doorstep. Her father has been called to court, to compete in a series of trails to become the master tailor. Maia knows her father is not fit for the task, and so she takes her fathers place, and poses as her older brother hoping to become the imperial tailor.
THE CHARACTERS
I first want to talk about Maia. Maia is everything I want in a female main character. She's feminist (but so much so that your drowning in feminism), she's brave and strong, and she'll do anything for the people she loves. I loved her. She was such a fun character, and it was so fun spending my time in her head.
I also wanted to talk about Edan, and the romance between him and Maia. Oh my god they are so fucking adorable, I cannot take them! Edan is such a fun, mysterious character, but he isn't your typical "brood" if that makes sense. Sure he's mysterious and secretive, but I just found his character fresh in a way. He was funny, and charismatic and super smart too. I'm going to grace you with some adorable quotes so hold your horses.
“But I would give up the sun and moon and stars if it meant saving him.”
“It was the tale of a boy, too. A boy who could fly but not swim. A boy with the powers of the gods but the shackles of a slave. A boy who loved me.”
AND
“She gave off a little neigh when I reached to touch her cheek. I fell in love with her immediately.
"You like her more than me," Edan pouted.
"That's not hard to do." I petted her mane again; then offered Edan a small smile. "But thank you.”
THE WORLD
Then I want to talk about the world! The world was so damn cool! I loved the magic system, and the certain things, and people who could wield it, plus the backstory of magic and the mythology for the gods and goddesses was so interesting. And the ancient Chinese culture woven in (see what I did there) was just so fun and interesitng,
THE WRITING
Wow the writing in this book was beautiful! [a:Elizabeth Lim|6926374|Elizabeth Lim|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1508017352p2/6926374.jpg] has such a way with words. Her metaphors melded in with her writing was so pretty, and I loved every second of it.
“Seize the wind," I whispered. "Don't become the kite that never flies.”
“Above, the stars faded behind the misty sky, and the sun fanned its light upon us. We melted into each other until the dawn slid into dusk, and the sun paled into the moon, and the stars, once lost, became found again.”
AND
“I'd battled ghosts and touched the stars. I'd climbed a mountain to the moon and conquered the fury of the sun.”
Overall, this book was phenomenal! Definitely check it out if you haven't already. i'm really excited for my copy of [b:Unravel the Dusk|36683940|Unravel the Dusk (The Blood of Stars, #2)|Elizabeth Lim|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1572261457l/36683940._SY75_.jpg|58477276]

Me after reading this - So how much is the sequel you say? - REVIEW TO COME
This book was phenomenal! Absolutely phenomenal! I loved everything about this! The writing is A+, too tier, amazing. The characters. God don’t even get me started. Esta and Harte, first of all are just fucking amazing. The other characters too, it was like a little found family and it was done so well.
The magic system, the time traveling aspect were done so flawlessly. It was so cool how each character that could control magic used it in different ways, and the explanation for the time travel was SO COOL! Time traveling in books is such a cool trope, and this wasn’t an exception!
The plot was so awesome! Their’s a heist that involves thieves, deception, secrets, betrayal, and a sexy romance.
The rep was awesome. A queer side character, an Asian side character, an Italian side character, and side characters of all different sizes.
This book was just done SO well! [a: Lisa Maxwell|7246482|Lisa Maxwell|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1390219487p2/7246482.jpg] you have created a masterpiece!
