Just could not get into it. Not sure if it's the internal dialogue, the number of characters or my lack of focus.
Thank you @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook. I DNF'd this at 20%. The synopsis sounded interesting but once I started the book, I just didn't buy it. Who is that concern about a coworker that doesn't show up for work in a day. Just makes no sense.
The narration felt robotic and monotone which lead to flat characters. The obsession with turtles and all the description was just too much.

I always enjoy books about twins and this was an interesting premise which Molly learns the death of her twin sister, Katie and she tries to find the killer. I enjoyed the first half of the book and then it took an unexpected turn. The story got a little confusing and I am not sure I understood the motivation of the killer.
medium-paced
Thank you @macmillian.audio for a copy of this book. This was a great historical fiction about old Hollywood and survival. The story starts with the death of Kitty Karr and her inheritance. We learn about Kitty as child and adult in Hollywood. I love how they story led it to the current day and how what Kitty did impacted them. There were parts that were a bit slow but overall I enjoyed what the story represented.

I love this series and how in the first book, we were introduced to both Ryan and Indigo and I was excited to read their story. A disastrous meet cute and fake dating made such a start for the story. I liked how this story focus on the stress that Ryan puts on himself as a NBA superstar. It really puts into light how difficult it is to trust and find love when you are under a microscope.
The tension and banter between them was amazing. I love the side characters and how much they brought to the story.

I love how Drake and Hunter are best friends and Drake had a great relationship with Isabel, Hunter's wife. I loved how they approached this and the tension - wow!!

I thought the first book was forbidden but this one seems even more taboo. I enjoyed seeing Mia and Garrett get to know each other. I wished the mental health issue was more addressed in the story rather then just talked about a little.

This series is recommend by a friend and I am obsessed! It's spicy and forbidden, what more can you ask for. I love Emerson and Charlotte together and I love how tormented Emerson was with pursing the relationship.

I always enjoy books with twins, add in Hollywood stars, sign me up. I enjoyed how this was part police procedural and part this relationship between Nora and the brothers. There are a few twists to the story that I didn't expect which always makes it so good.
