Kennedy Ryan has the art of story telling down to an art. In the second installment of the Skyland Park series, we get Soledad's story. She is a mother of 3 daughters and her life is suddenly turned upside down and leaves her angry and scrambling to figure how to support her family. We also meet Judah who comes into life and he is a father of 2 boys that are autistic and I adored his dedication to his boys and giving them the best life. The story is complex and so much depth. The friendship that we're strong in the first book continues here. I loved Soledad's resilience and how she communicated with her children. You don't need to read the first book but I highly recommend you do.

Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance for a copy of this beautiful book. I have enjoyed this series and this was a set up where Melanie's trip was over booked and she ends up in a small inn owned by Evan's family. Evan is a grumpy lobster fisherman that gets roped into entertaining Melanie. I really enjoyed the excursions that they go together and they get to know each other. Evan was such a sweet heart, he was just so thoughtful with all his gestures. I wished the book was dual POV which I always love to hear from. The narrator did a great job and brought the story to life.

Thank you @smpromance @netgalley for a copy of this debut romance about an up and coming chef and rock star. Lexi just finished culinary school and is starting her job as a chef. She goes out and meets Jake and has a magical weekend with him. Jake becomes a break out star and ghosts her. They reconnect again and Lexi has to decide what she wants...her career or Jake. I enjoyed the interaction between Jake and Lexi and how hard it was for them to both start their career and the fame of Jake. I enjoyed seeing the growth journey for Lexi as she figures out what she wants professionally, her love life as well as her relationship with her dad.

Thank you @stmartinpress @macmillan.audio for a copy of this. I was expecting a thriller, a mystery of a missing baby but didn't get it in this book. The opening line for this book started so strong and I was invested. This book focuses more about childhood friendships that drift apart as you get older. Cassie is a micro influencer and her former BFF has been left in behind because she doesn't want children. Billie is desperate to maintain their friendship as see her friend only online. There really isn't any mystery with the baby missing so I was a bit disappointed with it. I did enjoy seeing their friendship flashbacks and their complex relationship. I did enjoy the dual narration between the two characters.

Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance for a copy of the audiobook. This book is inspired by Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility which I have not read. Nora who learns upon her father's death that he had a secret family and inherits a rub down inn that she must renovate. She meets Bear who was running tours on the property. They agree to work together to help each other out. Their connection was great from the start and this was a slow burn. I love the dual POV and enjoyed the banter between the two. I found Nora's sister a little vapid and which she added more to the story.

There were so many great scenes between Nora and Bear that really showed their attraction. The slow burn was worth it. The narrators both did a great job portraying their individual problems and their growth

Thank you @macmillan.audio @netgalley for a copy of this book. This is a story about Iris and Gabe who lives in England and their long time friend, Laure, stays with them because she has a fight with her husband, Pierre. I found the story's pacing a bit slow and was wondering where the story was leading to. I thought Paris did a great job and making you wonder what Laure was doing and what she was up to and question her motives. I don't know how I feel about story where the villan tells you what happens rather then revealed in the story.

Thank you @readforeverpub @netgalley for a copy of this book. I loved the 2 other books in this series and was excited to read this. Julie is the basketball coach to a high school team and is feeling loss as all her friends and family has found true love. Her idol, Elle, comes into the gym one day with her niece who will be on her team. I love how Julie was total Fangirl over Elle. Elle becomes the assistant coach and Julie and Elle forms a friendship.

The story pacing for me was way too slow and I felt the secret dating feels awkward. At part, I felt the story felt repetitive and I wasn't vested in the story. I did enjoy seeing the other characters from the previous books play a big part in this book.

Thank you @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy of the audiobook. Will Watt always does a great job with narrating and I love how he brings the characters all to life. The story is told in 3 parts and almost 3 separate novella which I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed Edwin and Adam's story and how caring Adam was. I liked that the second story gives us Marius' back story and him finding his love. The third installment is both their HEA.

Thank you @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook. A book about book influencers getting together for the weekend and something happens...I am in! I enjoyed the premise of the story and how real these bookstagrammers felt real with their ideas for pictures and collaboration. Lena sees something isn't right with the neighbors and calls the police. The bookstagrammers starts paying closer attention to the neighbors house and trying to figure out what happened. The twist for me is just kind of weird and the characters were all forgettable. The narrator did a great job with the different voices for the characters.

This book. I don't read much in fantasy and I am so glad I gave this book a chance. This is a story about Misery, daughter of a powerful Vampyre, is married to an alpha Werewolf, Lowe. This story had a little bit of everything from marriage of convenience, forced proximity and a little mystery. The story is mainly narrated by Therese Plummer who did a great job as Misery. I enjoyed how each chapter started with Lowe's perspective narrated by Will Damron. I really enjoyed how the Misery charmed all the other weres with her charm and the bond she formed with Anna, Lowe's little sister.
