Amarie's car breaks down in a small town while she is already done on her luck. She decides to stay there and gets a job at a veterinarian practice. She meets Eli and his family and forces herself to the job. There's a lot of tension between the two with Eli being a grumpy the world is on his shoulder problems. The story is cute and Amarie is not who Eli thought she was and starts breaking down his walls. I thought the story was cute especially with Eli's family and the small town. I love that Amarie found genuine friendships and fell in love with the town. I didn't enjoy the break up act but did enjoy the story regardless of it.

Jimenez does it again!!! The idea of sliding a DM to a Reddit thread with someone that is in similar situation being cursed as the last person to date before finding their soulmate. Emma and Justin strikes up a friendship and Emma, a traveling nurse, decides to go to Minnesota to meet him.
Justin is another gooey sweet cinnamon roll. He is attentive to Emma and their dates are so fun. There is so many characters from Jimenez's books that appear and I didn't make the connection until the story unfolded. I love that Doug made an appearance and I want to hear his love story.
The friendships both make and female plays a big role in this story and adds so much great to it.

Spring is in the air and being at a flower farm sounds like a perfect setting for a sapphic romance. Opal wins the lottery and is at crossroads with her life. She decides to buy a flower farm sight unseen where she learns Pepper lives there and it was a farm started by her grandmother. They decided to help each other out and live together on the farm. I loved seeing their friendship/romance develop. There's a lot of funny moments and I love how Eddings writes real characters and how their mental health is important in the story. The story is told in dual POV and I wished the there was 2 narrators instead of 1.
The author's note was such a treat. I loved the ideas of the different titles she came up with.

If you like grumpy/sunshine a clean work place romance this is for you. As the title suggests, this is about plotting a payback. Finn starts working with actress Lavender who he knew in high school. He holds a personal grudge against her and finds this as the best opportunity to give her a taste of her own medicine. What started as funny pranks, I found Finn being way too petty. There are a lot of cute moments with puppies and Finn's neighbors which added so much to the story.
I enjoyed the dual POV and narration. The narrators both did a great job with bringing the story to life.

Wow this was on wild ride. Penny is a sheltered savant that decides to find her dad when she received a card from him on her 21st birthday. She befriends Travis at the mall who agrees to help her. Their adventures starts from there and it is not an easy search. Their drive across the country takes a turn and they go through some scary moments. The story doesn't let up and kept me motivated. Gina Rogers did a good job with portraying a sheltered young woman.

This was a great debut book that explores the life of Rachel who life is content one minute and turned upside down the next and makes her question her whole life. I liked how this story explore the complications of a marriage, how tough it is to be a working mom. The added celebrity ex-boyfriend added a great element to the story. This is not a romance story which I thought I was getting but I did enjoy it and wanted to see which path Rachel chooses.

Thank you @libro.fm @parkrowbooks for a copy of this book. Rosie and Chad inherits an apartment from Chad's uncle. The building has a storied past which gets Rosie's writing mind flowing and she researches about the building. The story has a creepy vibe with the building's past and strange things happening. All the characters are a little odd and you just didn't know what their motive was. It is a slow burn with a lot going on but it kept me interested. Vivienne Leheny did a good job with Rosie and I could sense the tension with all that was going on.

Thank you @harpermusebooks @netgalley for a copy of this book. Rea always writes books that wrecks me. This one is a sliding door story told in 2 parallel timelines. One with Kate loses her daughter at the beach and her grief and how she moves on. The other timeline, Olivia is okay and how her life is. I liked that in both story, Kate faces big decision and all the supporting characters played a big role in both dimensions. Brittany Pressley did a phenomenal job in bringing out all the emotions.

Thank you @stmartinspress @macmillan.audio for a copy of this book. Before you read this, be aware that there's depiction of child neglect and abuse that is heartbreaking. This story is told in 3 POV of the "sisters" that grew up in a foster home together. It's told in past and present and gives you a good backstory of each of these ladies. The story is interesting and I think the author did a good job depicting that not all foster homes were safe. I got a little muddled in parts of the story with so many POV in audio. The narrator did a foot job and the last 1/3 of the book really picked up and tied the story together.

This story was so much fun. It had a little mystery, a fun cast of characters and of course, romance. Riley has the gift of psychic abilities but doesn't want it. She meets Nick, a PI, who helps her with figuring out what happened to her neighbor. They team up as fake dating and I love the tension and banter between them. The story is fun and Riley's roommates were such a hoot. I am ready to continue this series.
