I read Devil's Night and was curious how the story continues. This is about Kai who is one of the Four Horsemen that served time and is now 7 years later. Kai is still impacted by his time in prison. The story is told in Kai and Banks POV both past and present. I love the twist with Damon. This story is dark and messy with a bit of suspense too.

I am always a sucker for a disastrous meet up cute and this one was so perfect and a great set up for the book. "Amy"/ Isabelle starts her new job and it's the hottie from the coffee shop who is now her new boss. They form a friendship and starts off some amazing banter in their emails and text exchange. Love that Blake is grumpy but truly a sweetheart.

When Nicole and Tom wins the lottery and buys the manor house and life is perfect. ..until Tom is found dead. Nicole is grief stricken and she befriends her younger neighbor and their house keeper. Lots of strange things starts to happen and no one seems to really who they are. The story starts off slow but it gets pretty intense the second half of the book as everything is revealed. There is a cast of narrators and they did a great job. The story is very atmospheric and the house played a big part of the story.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this audiobook.
Wow I am pretty sure I enjoyed this more than the first book. This one is about Daisy and her life with her family in crime. The story is told in 3 POV, Daisy, Christian - her love interest and Julian- her brother. Like the first story, lots of content warnings and all the characters are so messy. I enjoyed all of the 3 narrators and all the emotions they brought to life. This is told in the same time line as the first book so before to read that first. Magnolia and BJ are in this story too and set up for the next book.

This was a great story about first love and the haves and the have nots. Beyah is forced to spend a few months with estranged dad when her mom passes away. She realizes that her life is different from her dad and struggles with the difference. She meets Samson and they both have so much pain. Their friendship was great and loved seeing both of their growth journey.

What a great story based on the first female driver in WWII. Violet is a socialite that walks away from her privileged life to volunteer for the war. She is forced to be a nurse but finds her way to becoming a driver. I loved seeing her growth in the story and all that she endured. I enjoyed the added element of the spy and trying to figure out who he was. George and Henri added so much to the story.

Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance @netgalley for a copy of this. Grab this one for a summer romance that involves a small beach town, friends to lovers and a bit of mystery. Effie goes back to her hometown and takes a job at the town's only fine dining restaurant. She meets up with her former BFF, Ernie and they resumed their friendship. I love seeing their interaction together and how their relationship developed. I appreciate that there was no third act breakup and Ernie was so amazing. The supporting cast of characters added the great small town feel.
Nikki Massoud did a great job with the narration.

This book is not for me. I should have DNF'd it but stuck it out. It was so slow and the characters were all forgettable that I forgot everything through the story.

I am usually not a fan of slow burn thrillers but this one was done so well. Told in multiple POV and dual timelines, this story is about Molly moving back to her small town to care for her ailing father. While there, she volunteers on a crisis hotline and starts receiving threatening calls about her past. Every character is creepy and makes you want to know what really happened with Molly's mom and who is threatening her. The 3 narrators totally brought up the chill factor in this story.

Thank you @prhaudio @dellromance for a copy of this book. This book is in the same universe as The Clean Sheet and you don't need to read it first but I do recommend it.
Nora is a new agent and to make or break into a male dominated field, she is assigned to work with Derek who was her college sweetheart. Lots of tension with Derek being a grumpy athlete on the mend - he made it difficult for Nora. Second chance romance is always iffy for me but this was done well and Derek eventually won me. There are lots of fun moments and both narrators really brought out the fun in this romcom.
