There's so much to unpack with this book from being biracial, keeping up with Jones's to the struggles of being an artist/writer. The story is told in Jane's POV as she is house sitting her friend's home in an affluent LA hills community. I enjoyed seeing her relationship with her children and Lenny and the people she meets while living in the hills.
The writing is entertaining and I was frustrated with Jane and decisions at parts of the book. The kids really stole the show and added so much humor to the book.
Kristen Ariza did a great job with the narration as Jane.

Stone always knows how to bring out the emotions and she does it again in this story about Lexie who inherits half of their recent deceased estranged father's business. She must run it with Theo, who adored her father. They are naturally enemies and don't get along and must find a way to get along.
I thought it was interesting in how they grieved differently and the use of the travel agency to help Lexie understand her dad.
I enjoyed Meg Travers' narration with Lexie's POV and would have loved to have Theo's perspective on Lexie's dad.

This was such a fun magical romance. Catherine was recently hired as a mathematics professor and learns that she doesn't exist according to the government. Her doorman, Luca, jumps in and helps get to the bottom of it.
The story is a big wild goose chase as they meet various members of Luca's family. I really enjoyed seeing Catherine's growth and understood her desire for stability and schedule and how she learned to live life.
There are so many fun moments between Luca and Catherine as well as the residents of rhetorical building.

This was such a fun take on How the Grinch Stole Christmas set in a small town that celebrates Christmas all year long. Storee is back to help her aunt who recently had hip surgery and is signed up for the town's Christmas contest. One of the contestant is none other then Cole, her former friend and now enemy.
The story centers on the contest and their interaction. I really enjoyed seeing Cole's personality blossom and also the two of them rekindling their friendship and discovering their attraction. All of the characters in the story added so much charm and humor.
I loved how a lot of the chapters started with a rhyme to set that chapter. If you are looking for some laughs, steam and holiday cheer, be sure to check this out.

Thank you to @prhaudio for the audiobook. This book is told in POV of Nina, who recently lost her father and learns that she inherited a house in BVI and Maria, who is a nanny for the rich.
The story kept me interested with Nina's quest to figure out more about those and Maria's new gig. I liked that the house was the focal point and it was such a big part to the story.
I am usually leery of authors narrating their own books (unless it's a memoir) but Steadman did a great job.

I always enjoy books involving books and this one is Aspen, a writer with writers block, goes to the Outer Banks to stay with her sister for inspiration. Aspen needs a heartbreak for inspiration and focus on the town bad boy, Brick.
I really Brick as a character and how he resisted Aspen and to me it was weird how aggressive Aspen was in the beginning. They strike up a deal that benefits both of them and really start enjoying each other's company and falls for each other.
I thought the side characters added a lot of humor to the story. The one part of the story I found odd is the women that formed a support group for dating and scorned by Brick. This was just a bit far fetched and petty for me.
Overall, a fun story that has a happy ending and I can feel the next story between Aspen's sister and Brick's best friend and I am excited for it.

If you are looking for a Hallmark feel movie with steam, this book is for you.
This book has a lot of fun tropes:
- Brother's best friend
- Childhood crush
- Single dad
- Forced proximity
- Lots of Christmas festivities
Charlotte has been in love with Hayden for years and was rejected 3 years ago and has avoided him since then. They are forced to be together for her brother's bachelor/bachelorette weekend.
The story is fun with lots of holiday cheer. This was just a little too insta for me with their relationship going 0-full steam ahead within a weekend. I enjoyed seeing how supportive Hayden was with Charlotte and her dream job.
My complaint is the 3rd break up act is led by miscommunication which is never a favorite for me. Overall, a fun read to get into the holiday spirit.

Sunny is struggling to write her screen play and relocated to Christmas Notch and ends up staying with Issac, a former boy band who she hooked up with once.
The story is the last of the installment and can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading them together as all the character appear in the other books.
Despite this story being predictable, I really enjoyed seeing how Issac and Sunny helped each other out. There is some heavy subject with dealing with grief and it was unexpected and well done.
This story is steamy and gets you into the holiday fun with the fun town.

Khin was just assigned to Tyler, an international superstar and follow him and worry about him and hoping to dig some secrets to make her article a standout.
Khin is attacked by a man and Tyler comes to the rescue. They agreed to hide what happened and they try to figure out why this man attacked Khin. This is where the story started falling apart for me. It made zero sense that they didn't go to the police.
Tyler and Khin are forced to spend a lot time together with the article and they start falling for each other. I didn't really buy their romance.
Khin must decide if she really into Tyler and Tyler must decide if she is just doing this for the article. I really enjoyed Tyler and thought he was a great character.
Overall, a decent debut and I enjoyed the narration by Jacqui Bardelang.
