Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this book.
This was a great story about Drew who inherits her grandmother's bookstore and meets the handsome writer Jasper and their journey. I really enjoyed the story showing how Drew dealt with the grief of losing her grandmother.
There was a lot of funny moments as Drew takes Jasper around Colorado to show him the beauty of the state to help with his writing. These dates were so good and I loved their attraction.
The narrator did a great job portraying the tough decisions Drew had to make about her life.

Wow!! This was such a heartbreaking and timely read. This historical fiction is based on real events in the early 70s where young Black girls are given birth control and tubes tied to reduce unwanted pregnancy. This was an eye opener that healthcare workers felt this was for the benefit of these victims and taken their reproductive rights. It made me mad that these health workers took advantage of parents that are illiterate and trusted them.
The story is told in past and present by Civil who is a Black nurse that started her first job in administering the birth control. The book address not only about race, but class and women's rights as well.

Thank you @bibliolifestyle @williammorrowbooks for a copy of this book. This was such a great historical fiction during the end of the Jim Crow era in the south. The story is told in the POV of the 2 sisters who are both facing some adversity and also a 3rd person who is looking for Violet.
This story is so heartbreaking and makes you angry at times at how they are both treated. The narration really brought the story to life.

Thank you @berkleyromance for a copy of this book. This was a great small town second chance romance with heavy hand of family business drama.
This was a story of marriage of convenience between Sylvie and Rene. I wanted to see more romance between the two rather than planning on how to save Rene's company and the drama with the family.
There is a lot going on in the story and I felt Sylvie and Rene's story took a back seat.

What a beautiful book with 2 people that has a bad past. I love how Gabriel was looking for help from Crystal and ends up helping her. Gabriel was so amazing and so good despite his traumatic childhood. I loved the dual POV and the narration.

If you love slow burn, great banter office romance this one was so good!! This was a great meet cute and I love how feisty Ally is and stood up for herself. Dom is the perfect grump with a world on his shoulders. I love their interactions together and so many funny moments. The side characters were great too and added depth to the story.

A fun steamy read. I love the instant attraction between Daniel and Story. I wasn't a fan of how Story rebounded so quickly from her fiancé.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this small town romance. This was a slow burn, sweet romance between Trisha and Jake. Trisha is starting a new life with her son and Jake returns to Sweetwater to check on his grandma. The town is so charming and so are the people in it.
I love all the side characters and have already read Lucy & Mile's story so it was fun to see them here. Both Trisha and Jake and hesitant to start something and I liked how mature they were at approaching their relationship.

This was a great office, enemies to lovers romance. I love that this romance had amazing banter between Gemma and Ben. Their chemistry was amazing!! When I read that a character has been pining for the other for a long time, it always creeps me out so that knock down a point for me in this book. Overall, a fun steamy romance.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of the audiobook. I loved Becoming and was excited to listen to The Light We Carry since it's narrated by Michelle Obama. This was part memoir and part self help in how she coped with the pandemic and other situations. Michelle is a great story teller and I really enjoyed the stories that went into each chapter. This book covers a bit of everything from the pandemic, her childhood, race and her time during the White House.
