Thank you @bookedmark for a copy of this book. After reading the synopsis, I was expecting a rom com with some heavy subject. Unfortunately, this story felt it was more Jess's journey with balancing caring for her mum and living her life. 

I also didn't buy Jess and Alec's romance. Jess was so mean to Alec, I didn't get why he didn't give up on her. 

The story is heartbreaking with what Jess is grappling with. I felt bad for Jess and she decided to isolate herself and didn't form too many friendships which makes for lack of character developments into the side characters.

This was a fun single dad, opposites attract between Billie and Colby. Colby's daughter was such a sweetheart and I love that Colby is a great day. I enjoyed their non- dates hang out and seeing their relationship develop. The twist was was too far fetched for me and this made me lose interest in their story. I enjoyed Colby's friends and will be interested in their story.

Wow this was one emotional read. A marriage in crisis for Lauren and Ryan who has been married for 11 years. The story flashes back to a few years, months and weeks to lead to how they got to where they are at and how they decided to separate for a year. Their separation was tough and my heart breaks for both of them. I liked we got to see Ryan's POV because I wanted to see how he was feeling. Julia Whalen is an amazing narrator that brought out all the feelings.

A book told in dual timelines about 3 women that were friends that were impacted by a traumatic attack on Naomi at 11. Naomi is back in her home town after her attacker died years later. The story has so many twists and turns and is a bit dark. I liked that Naomi questions what really happened when she was 11 and it unravels so many secrets. The narrator did a great job creating the tension in the story.

Bea is driven by securing a husband with ultra wealth due to her upbringing. I love the dynamics between Gail, who is her boyfriend - Collin's best friend. This is the perfect keep your enemies closer because you never know what will happen.

The narration was amazing and I did not want to story to end.

Wow this was an amazing love story with so much heartache. It amazes me that this book was written almost 50 years ago and it's still so timely. It breaks my heart that the racism that Fonny experienced still happens today. I love how strong Tish was and determined to get Fonny out for a crime he did not commit.

This was such a great story about 4 women that forms a friendship in the most unusual circumstance. I love how they were all flawed and gained confidence and growth as they got to know each other. The story is funny and touching at the same time. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. This was a great thriller about 4 friends that met through the Savior House and 25 years all 4 of them is being targeted. I love their different stories and how they turned out. The story kept me interested and adding twists and turns along the way.

After reading Heartless and Flawless, I need to read more of Elsie Silver's books. This was a great start to the series and I love that you get a glimpse of Violet and will get her story next. 

Billie and Vaughn's not so meet cute was the best. I love how feisty Billie was and how her passion for horses showed through. Their contentious relationship created great tension between them.
