DNF @ 25%. It breaks my heart a little to DNF this book, because I truly loved The Extraordinaries. But where everything about the first book was fun and exciting, it feels a bit tired and overdone here. This may simply be a case of the wrong book for me in this moment. Thanks to the publisher for an ARC!
I got about halfway through it wasn’t pulling me in. Then, there was a scene describing the intentional drowning of kittens that turned my stomach.
