Some things came together in surprising ways, back stories for some side characters are filled out. Ending seemed rushed but left in a place where I need to get to the next one quickly.

I enjoyed this! Alternate universe Chosen One Cordelia comes to the Buffyverse we know &love to enlist the help of Spike, Indira (a new Slayer, chosen one of many)& some new & old friends. But who will be tempted by the way things could have been & the way they are in this other reality? Tara &Cordy are so central to the plot, it seemed very much that they were taking these characters back from Whedon & I’m a fan.

So freaking good.

The MC was terrible. The premise might be the plot of Encanto. Her & her family are super inconsistent about who they should be using magic on, who should know about the magic, etc. the MC was by far the worst part of it though. Spent 1/2 the book literally running away and crying from situations 100% of her own making
