I enjoyed most of this I think? Maybe not most.

I do think it was a bit bloated and there were many times we lost track of the romance in favor of getting a little too in depth with their teammates storylines. (I really don't think we needed three different character's side quests.) And honestly, by the 80% mark, I was skimming heavily to get to the end.

Will I continue the series? Maybe. TBD. I have a feeling there are better series out there, I just haven't found them yet.

So much FUN! This is a great little bite sized novella series and perfect if you're looking for humor, a little romance, twisty space heists, and unapologetically dunking on Elon-shaped villains.

Ada is truly such a funny FMC and poor Rian. He's just struggling to keep up but he's trying.

Totally recommend these as audiobooks for a quick listen. The narrator does a wonderful job keeping it light but also sincere.

I'm ready for the final book.

Okay THIS was fun! Fast paced, great writing, a nice touch of humor and romance, and it truly kept me guessing. Definitely picking up the next one and I'm glad to see the third comes out this Spring.

(I think this was the vibe I was anticipating when I picked up Calamity but didn't get.)

DID NOT FINISH: 53%

Okay so I really tried to enjoy this but there are just too many minor issues that keep adding up and now it just feels like a slog to get through.

The insta-lust just never works for me and while the horny thoughts from our FMC are meant to be funny, it just isn't my thing.

There is also a really weird ratio of romance to sci fi plot line and, for me, in order for it to work we needed to pick one to put more focus on. I actually think the plot is really interesting and could have made for a great Sci Fi with romantic subplot. But for this to be marketed as Romance, the actual relationship development really took a back seat.

Anyways. It's too bad. I really thought this would work for me.

This was fun and light hearted and quite spicy.

Paranormal MM romance between and human and a wolf shifter- both adult film stars. They enter into a temporary bonding contract for work, only to accidentally catch feelings in the process. (Loveable idiots. In a whole lot of denial.)

A good balance of building emotional intimacy in the midst of the insane spicy scenes that they're filming together. They were quite sweet. All of their friends and coworkers thought they were gross.

I'll definitely pick up the next one whenever it comes out.

What a beautiful, bittersweet ending. A fantastic duology.

(Hi, I am so happy that I don't have to wait and can read the epilogue in Tales of the Celestial Kingdom

🥹🥹🥹 I'm about as normal about these characters as Matt is about Aiden.

Gorgeous.

My first book of 2025 was an absolute DELIGHT!

I decided to finally pick up Daughter of the Moon Goddess (Sue Lynn Tan) because I happened to grab the ALC for Immortal- a standalone set in the same world - off of Libro.FM and decided I wanted to read this series first to get a feel and I- !!!!!!!!!!

This is a YA fantasy inspired by the legend of Chang'e, the Chinese moon goddess, that follows our main character, Xingyin, as she sets out on a quest to free her mother from imprisonment by the Celestial Emperor.

This is lush and romantic and absolutely everything I adore about YA fantasy. I cannot wait to jump into the sequel!
