EMILY MCINTIRE JUST TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY FOREVER

Yes. This is exactly what I wanted. Dark and totally F'ed up and I loved every minute of it.

Besides the obviously twisted MCs, (I will love Tristan forever and Sara was a total badass), the thing I love best about this series is how the author weaves in the little details from the original stories. It's so fun making the connections as you go along - characters and the things they say. Love, love, love!

And there will be a book 3?! Sign me up!

Oh my, I absolutely adored this book!

After a disastrous work holiday party, Seattle meteorologist, Ari Abrams, and her co-worker and sports reporter, Russel Barringer, team up to manipulate their bosses into getting together (for the good of the office work environment!) The catch? Their bosses are actually exes and have been messily divorced for 5 years. But they know there is still chemistry there - they just need to give them a push. And along the way..... if Ari starts to notice how cute Russel is, and how much she loves spending time with him... All the better!

There is so much I loved about this book:
- Jewish main characters
- Plus sized Male love interest
- Clinical Depression representation
- Positive depictions of therapy
- So many Parent Trap references
- DILFs
-The list is endless

Ari and Russel are so sweet and their individual stories really touched my heart. Watching them scheme to get their bosses together while also realizing that they have feelings for one another was so funny and so sweet to watch.

There may have been moments where Ari's thought process or decisions made me frustrated but I think her the way she handles those situations really highlight her struggle with Depression and how she is managing it in her everyday life.

3.0

There were parts of this book that I really enjoyed and some parts I didn't.

I really liked Ava as a character- a sweeet, fun woman with a darker past. Her character development through the story was great.

Ava and Alex's interactions were also excellent. His dark, possessive nature to her sweet sunshine was exactly what I was looking for in this read. The spice =

Yep- I literally just accidently stumbled into this series

The only thing this novella did was remind me of the cruel double standards they set for Nesta in terms of her recovery after the traumas of the war. 😡😤

It was painful to see Feyre defend Elain's lack of progress to Lucien - "It has only been a few months.... But it might take her a bit longer to move past it."

And then turn around and say the exact opposite about Nesta when Amren suggests she give Nesta time and space to sort through her feelings. - "It's been months."
