I hated everything about this book. Which is crazy because I really liked one of her her other stories, but this uh just uh. Not a good review but hey not a good book.

Audiobook version.
I really give this book 3.75, so I rounded up to a 4. I loved the writing it was just so poetic and beautiful. The writing helped you fall in love with everyone, it was filled with so much emotion. Some parts I felt was dragged out I felt there were times I just wanted them to get to the point, but I loved the show of love. I think Roy played a lot of games until it got real then it got real for him. I think he was selfish and he got to feel what it is like being with someone that was selfish or just think about themselves. Andrew, I wish they went more into the why, why the wait, why now, like if he would have stepped in while Roy was playing games so be it but not at that moment. Celestial I think she truly didn't know what love was, I don't think they were able to really get roots to grow. Idk I have so many emotions but I like that make you think.

This was too long for the back and forth. This could have been half the book and would have like it. That and forth got tired.

Cute witty book. I was looking for a book to start conversation with my teens. This book was a suggestion and I loved it. I think it will hold their attention and it has some good advice about chasing men, and making excuses for for men. Quick and funny read.

A cute story of love, insecurities, and revelation.

I am not sure what to say about this book. I really wanted to like this book, needless to say, my 2 stars is really gracious. Many times I wanted to DNF the book, but I kept saying it is a short book keep going it has got to get better. Ha. Nope, it didn't. Most times I was lost, many times I was like what is she talking about. The book went back and forth between the present day and her memories, but I didn't know where she was until halfway through the thought. The felt very choppy which made it hard to follow. I would say did the audiobook, maybe it would be better if actually read.

Thiald, walks you through her world through the eyes of someone that has lost her mother. You see the world (sort of) through her grief-stricken eyes. It's almost like this was the middle of a book that was already developed and this was one of the stories in the book about her life. I almost wish the book would have been structured differently, I think I would have enjoyed it better. I didn't really get much about her world the American father and African mother, it was mentioned that was about it. Then the book just dropped off the cliff, that was the ending. I was like wait what happened. I would say felt left hanging but really I never got into the book so it wasnt hard to move on.
