Something about him just made me want to go full octopus and wrap myself around his leg and beg him to never leave me.

This book was super okay. Cute sometimes, funny sometimes, a sweet story with dad’s best friend. It was also just a little boring, I think. Maybe longer than necessary.

Not a bad daddy, but maybe not the best one either? After reading so much kink and different BDSM dynamics, not discussing anything stresses me out. Both MCs are pretty casual about the kink, which is fine, but they didn’t talk about anything else either. They just jerked off over skype all the time, then someone fell on their face, and there was a thanksgiving turkey.

When our eyes met, he smiled, and butterflies erupted in my stomach. Wasn’t I too old for butterflies? Maybe they were moths. That seemed more fitting.

This was some sort of fucked-up dream. Or maybe I’d crashed my pickup on the way here, and I was really dying on the side of a road. I wasn’t sure that wouldn’t be preferable to Matthew finding out that, after he suspected me of making moves on his wife, I had, in fact, fondled his son.

Without another word, I grabbed his waistband and jerked it down. I wasn’t gentle, wanting to get him back in the mood of our sexy game. But damn, his jeans were so tight they barely budged. I had to peel them down, rather than yank them to his knees in a show of dominance. “Oughta spank you just for wearing these ridiculous pants,” I grumbled.

Despite what it might look like from the outside, I’d never been a rebel. I only ever wanted to make people happy. I just wasn’t very good at it.
