loved the worldbuilding for this duology, though the main relationship was not very subtly brought back together. i love me some morally grey takes, but it felt a bit forced imo. i still lived for their fluffy moments for sure. the book also took itself a touch too seriously, at least imo. it was just always very high stakes and very dramatic always. i almost wish it had had more pages so it could cook more, but it was still a fun read :)
