recommended by a friend, i really wanted to love this but it just fell short. i don't know if it was because it was the first time i've read a graphic novel digitally, but it just wasn't everything I wanted it to be.

The pacing of the story was odd - it felt like nothing was happening for 75% of the story and then everything kind of happened. It also felt like you were supposed to have more of an emotional connection with the characters than you actually could, and so the 'emotional' moments just fell a bit flat. and then just in time for the end, everything wrapped in a silver bow in an awkward and clunky way.
