This story was pleasant though nothing amazing. A quick read for me with both sides finished in a few hours. While I love the idea for this book I feel like it could've been more... More about the characters, more about their lives in between, more magic, more connection to the story they both study, just more and it could've become amazing.

The book itself is different from anything I've seen before. The accordion binding is very well done. It does make the book hard to hold whist reading as I found out the hard way. The art that makes up the cover is beautiful.

Overall a good enough story that is quick to read.
