Hard for a Harpy by Lauren Connolly
4.5

I love this series so much and this was no exception. This was Zara and Anthony’s book, the town vet and one of the Shelly siblings. Zara is trying to find her future mate to settle down with and Anthony is there to help before he leaves town again. But when things get more serious it gets really good.

I love Zara and how she refuses to except anything less than she deserves. It does cause some tension but without it I would have been mad, and it’s NOT miscommunication. Zara is amazing, she really cares about people and animals.

Anthony is great too but it did take me a little while to like him. He kind of speaks like he stepped out of a historical romance at points. Anthony has A LOT of trauma from his parents much like Ame and the rest of their siblings do. He works through this though, and actively tries to better himself for the sake of himself and others.

We also get the overall mystery of the series coming back in. There are chapters from POVs outside the main couple, like Ame from Shelter for a Shifter (my favourite of the series) and others. I love coming back to old characters that I love and seeing how they are doing.

Highly recommend!! But read in order for this series, you don’t have to read the novellas but I would because I love them.
