Everyone needs to read this book. It's inspiring, heartbreaking, and infuriating, but it's such a wonderful story about a trans woman who met a trans man (from Chippewa Falls, and a Cray to boot!) and their love story, as well as their tireless work to make sure that trans and other LBGTQ+ folks have the right to live their lives with equal rights and dignity. So powerful. I've always been an ally and advocate, and this book really enlightened me to what happened to have previous rights be passed, and how much we still need to fight, especially today, to make sure that these rights stay put, more are put in place to further protect and support, and that we all need to fight for trans equality.
