This was my second read of this book, and though I knew what was coming, the story still stands up the second time through. Zentner's books are filled with real emotion, examining the way that grief can consume someone's life. For me, this book not only fills you with the grief and sadness that the characters feel, but it also emphasizes the idea of hope. There's always hope, if you know where to look.
