I was really invested but I love mate bonds and was annoyed at how much she fought it. Then when the ending came. Well honestly I would have preferred it to be different. Like they got back and the second book is them fighting the bad guys that popped up at the end in a different way of popping up. The mate bond being ripped away was just not my cup of tea.
