Disappointingly boring for a Poirot. The premise and denouement were engaging, but the whole story was bogged down by the vast majority of the middle section. It was slow and uninteresting, merely repetitive and unsavoury village gossip about the youths of today, moral decline, foreigners, lesbians etc etc, which added nothing to the plot. The story had such potential, for example with the Classical references drawn in at the end, it's just a shame the middle section was so tedious and extraneous.
