I really enjoyed the story and once I actually sat down and focused, I was sucked in. I had to be to finish over 300 pages in just a few hours. Learning about the Grisha was amazing and I think Genya was my favorite character despite everything. Once Alina stopped fighting against everything she was, I was more than happy to cheer her on. It’s amazing how she almost let her feelings for not one, but two men, strip her of her power and herself whether intentionally or unintentionally and for two separate reasons and moments too. She fought though and I have to imagine that anyone who crosses her, is going to be sorry. I will say that the story itself was more entrancing for me than most of the characters.
