When the Stars Go Dark
by Paula McLain
This was a beautiful thriller about abuse, fear, and loss. I enjoyed Anna's perspective throughout the story, especially hearing her take on the foster system. Hap and Cricket were my favorite characters by far, as I felt they were the most fleshed out. The story did suffer some small pacing issues and I felt as though the perpetrator wasn't fully foreshadowed, but I was satisfied in the end.
