The Boyfriend Project
by Farrah Rochon
Don't judge this book by the cover!
Based on the cover and my skim of the blurb I was expecting this to be a teen or post-teen drama about a fill-in boyfriend or a non-boyfriend stand in but this plot was totally unexpected!
Filled with a sassy main character, an attractive male counterpart and as many important issues around feminism, racial inequality and gender imbalance in Technology-based careers as could possibly be packed into a romance book without taking the joy out of it, this novel is most definitely for grown ups!
If I had a complaint - I think the end was all too easy and conveniently solved. I would love to have seen more detail of the processes involved.
