Wayward ends as it began for me. Decent fun.

This is the final volume so the big war is to come. It actually is a big ass war, lots of running, lots of fighting, and a hell of a lot of death. This bloody war comes to the conclusion after our heroes all work together to stop the demons from coming into their world. Of course it's pretty much one big fight scene so it goes quick and it's a lot of fun but lacks the emotional punch I think it's going for. I'll give Jim Zub credit, some deaths did surprise me. I also still enjoy the overall design. While these characters never really worked for me the overall themes and story were fun enough to read till the end. A 3 out of 5.
