Windwitch by Susan Dennard
5.0

This book was A M A Z I N G!
I am a huge fan of [author:Susan Dennard|4499623] and her books! I have been waiting for over a year to read "Windwitch," the sequel to [book:Truthwitch|31868364].
I wrote a long (for me, at least) review for "Truthwitch," and I'm excited to write about this one now!
This book was just as good, if not better, than the first book in the series. There was so much representation in this book that I found myself repeatedly squealing about the "cute lesbians" or my "smol trans son."
I was also very interested in the way that Dennard split the book into 5 POVs: Safiya, Iseult, Merik, Aeudan, Merik, and (my favorite!) Vivia.
I loved the addition of Aeudan and Vivia's POVs in this book. It gave the book great depth, and also my hate of Vivia went from 100 to 0 in the course of 200 pages. She is really relatable: crushing on her first mate, thinking she's not good enough, crazy ambitious, etc. Aeudan is lso a really interesting chracter. He is honestly adorable (yes, the killer monk Bloodwitch is cute), and I really hope that he and Iseult get together in the end - OTP!
However, I didn't like Merik in this books so much. I get it - her lost his threadbrother. That's really sad, and I feel bad for him. But he's such a redicuus character in this book that it got kind of annoying. However, his new sidekick Cam totally makes up for it, hense the 5 star rating.
Overall a wonderful read, and I devoured it in hours!
