slightly lower rating for this book from the first, only because i felt lazlo and sarai's relationship wasn't written as well or became a backdrop. everything else was lovely; i think this book focused more on the depth of the characters instead of worldbuilding like the first, which i loved because every person in this book is lovely and sad and sweet and memorable. i finished this book knowing i will miss them all.
